Background

Shamice is a licensed master’s social worker who is currently receiving supervision towards her clinical licensure. Shamice’s number one priority is to create a safe place where clients feel comfortable sharing their life experiences and working towards the healing process. Shamice’s passion to begin her profession in therapy arose when she was working with families who recently had their children removed from their homes. At that time she realized the adverse impact that it had on the children and families’ mental health and decided to make the decision to get on the other side of the problem.

Training

Shamice is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, exposure response and prevention Ttherapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. She is currently undergoing training in habit reversal therapy for body-focused repetitive behaviors. Shamice works with a diverse population, ranging from pre-teens to adults. She specializes in OCD, Anxiety and Mood Disorders and diminished sense of well-being or life purpose.
