Background
La’Trevia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a proud native of Houston. She earned her Associate of Arts from San Jacinto College, Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Houston-Downtown, and her Master of Social Work from Baylor University.With a deep passion for mental health, La’Trevia finds joy in accompanying her clients on their journeys of self-discovery and growth. She believes therapy is a collaborative process—a partnership where both therapist and client learn and evolve together. Life’s challenges can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face them alone. La’Trevia’s commitment to ongoing support stems from her early work in crisis intervention, where she witnessed the power of stabilization but also recognized the need for sustained care to foster lasting change.
Training & Approach
She integrates techniques from various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), tailoring her approach to each individual’s unique needs. Humor is always welcome and appreciated. La’Trevia has experience working with teenagers, young adults, and older adults, ranging from grief/loss, chronic diseases, and various life transitions. She specializes in mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, and adjustment disorders.
