Background

La’Trevia is a Licensed Master’s Social Worker who is currently receiving supervision towards her clinical licensure. La’Trevia is a native Houstonian who received her Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Houston-Downtown and her Master of Social Work from Baylor University.

La’Trevia enjoys being part of her client’s journey of self-discovery and self-improvement. It is a privilege and honor to create a relationship in which we learn and grow together. Life can be a challenge, but you don’t have to do it alone! My passion for mental health started with doing crisis work, being able to successfully stabilize clients but not being able to continue to be part of their journey fueled my desire to become a psychotherapist, for ongoing support.

Training

La’Trevia is training in crisis intervention. Also, La’Trevia likes to use pieces of different modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. La’Trevia has experience working with teenagers, young adults, and older adults who are experiencing life challenges.
